Anna Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Ilkay Silk has been an actress, director, producer, playwright as well as an educator for St. Thomas University. Her father is from Britain, while her mother is the "Turkish English-Cypriot expat." Anna's earliest memories include attending play rehearsals and observing her mother at work. Anna appeared in several advertisements in her youth. In November 1999, Anna moved to Toronto to advance her acting career. She eventually making the move to Los Angeles, California, within the next decade. Seth Cooperman, whom she had met in an Los Angeles actors' workshop back in 2007, became her partner in the year 2009. Anna was a convert to Judaism in the year before, and Seth Cooperman were married in December of 2010 in Fredericton.
