Lucy Liu was born in the United States. She is an American singer, actress as well as a voice actress. She's attractive and skilled actress that has inspired numerous Asian actors to make it in Hollywood. An array of highly successful initial roles in a popular TV show led to her becoming well-known for her part in the character of Ally McBeal, where she was Ling Woo. The actress took her initial success into big screen roles in films such as Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Following that, she gave an an excellent performance in Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill Volume 1 as Japanese criminal O Ren Ishii. In this period she also acted as the lead in several flops on the box-office such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Later, she became voice actor for animated movies, such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's small-screen role as a character in Cashmere Mafia did not produce any results. Southland is a critically acclaimed police show that Liu played regularly, was a role which helped to reestablish she is famous as an actor. Liu is careful when choosing roles in order to prevent being stereotyped within an industry where competition is fierce. Although she is adamant about her heritage but it doesn't mean she has to be in her work in the field of art.
